We currently have a vacancy for a Kaiako to deliver the Te Whāinga o te Ao Tikanga programme, focusing on the application of  bi-cultural and bi-lingual practices in the workplace. The Kaiako is responsible for delivering programme content professionally and effectively as well as taking an active role in the recruitment and retention of students (tauira).

The ideal candidate will have the following;


  • Certificate or level 4 qualification in Mātauranga Māori
  • At least level 4 qualification in te Reo Māori
  • Level 5 Diploma Adult Teaching Qualification
  • National Certificate in Literacy and Numeracy (level 5)
  • Full clean drivers license


  • Fluency in te Reo Māori
  • 3 years or equivalent in Adult teaching and/or Education
  • High level of immersion in te Ao Māori me ōna Tikanga

Āhuatanga Māori:

  • At least 3 years’ experience working with iwi, hapu or marae projects, AND
  • At least 3 years’ experience teaching adults
