The primary purpose of the Advisor – Communications & Engagement is to develop professional and engaging content that effectively promotes Te Wānanga o Aotearoa to external audiences.
Role:
Permanent, full-time
Hours:
37.5 hours per week
Days:
Monday – Friday
Location:
Te Awamutu (the location can be flexible for the right applicant)
Salary:
$72,490 - $99,674
Your key focus
areas will include:
- Produce, edit and review copy, stories and communication plans for use in internal and external campaigns
- Identify and successfully pitch stories about TWoA tauira, graduates and kaiako to media and news publications
- Identify and successfully pitch stories to employer groups, industry and sector organisations
- Produce and edit copy, stories and images for the annual report and other corporate campaigns
- Facilitate interviews, speech writing and photography to support publicity and event requirements
- Work with the creative and marketing teams to develop ideas for campaigns including social media, videos, podcasts and other advertising.
Moū | About you
- Degree in Communications or Journalism or related qualification
- Proven public relations or journalism experience
- Proven experience working in a complex and busy communications team
- Proven experience dealing with media and stakeholders
- Advanced written and interpersonal communication skills
- Advanced copywriting and storytelling skills for print and digital channels
- Full NZ Drivers Licence (Class 1)
