We are in search of a Kaitohutohu – Whakauru Tauira (Advisor – Tauira Recruitment) who is passionate about education and has a talent for engaging with people and promoting meaningful opportunities. We are looking for someone who wants to connect and inspire future tauira to embark on their learning journey with Te Wānanga o Aotearoa.

In this role, you will drive recruitment efforts by promoting Te Wānanga o Aotearoa’s programmes and services. You will engage with communities and stakeholders to promote our programmes, while developing and executing recruitment strategies, campaigns, and events. You will also manage and utalise CRM tools to track and convert leads into enrolements and support tauira. Strengthening relationships with key partners and aligning efforts with national strategies will be essential.


Mōu | About you

The ideally candidate will be a motivated professional with a strong background in marketing, recruitment, or education. You thrive in relationship-building and have a strategic mindset when it comes to outreach and engagement.

You will also bring with you:

  • Diploma in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Marketing, Recruitment, or an education-related role
  • A full, clean drivers’ license
  • Excellent promotional and marketing skills to engage diverse audiences
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Confident using Microsoft applications
  • Sound understanding of Māori imagery and its appropriate usage
  • Experience with CRM systems

As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) will be key.
