About the role

Te Wānanga o Aotearoa is looking for an Advisor Tauira Recruitment that will contribute to the annual recruitment of tauira at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa. The successful applicant will be part of a team that will build and maintain relationships within the community. The role will also require the successful applicant to bring innovative thinking when promoting Te Wānanga o Aotearoa through events, community projects and marketing campaigns. Please note this is not an HR position. 

This position can be based from our Palmerston North Wānanga Campus and you will support our wider Horowhenua region, therefore, frequent travel across this region is required. The successful applicant MUST have a Full NZ Driver's License, comfortable driving long distances, and readily available to do overnight trips.

You will have proven experience-building relationships with a range of audiences including young people, Māori, Pasifika and/ or migrant communities.

About you

  • A Diploma in business or marketing-related field;
  • At least three years’ experience in marketing, recruitment or education;
  • Excellent relationship management and communication skills and be confident to speak in public;
  • An understanding of marketing and sales concepts is an advantage; and
  • A sound understanding of brand representation in the community.
  • A New Zealand full drivers license
