The Aukaha Ako – Takiwā Delivery is a senior leadership position pivotal to driving Ako Excellence and tauira success throughout the Auckland region.  You’ll ensure high-quality programme delivery and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

In this role, you’ll also be part of the Takiwā Senior Leadership team who oversee the safe and successful operation of our campuses in the region, requiring you to:

  • Provide Kaupapa Matua-based leadership that uplifts and inspires.
  • Oversee teaching, learning, assessment, and quality assurance practices.
  • Champion innovative projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage budgets and forecast effectively.
  • Lead and develop kaimahi to build a high-performing, excellence-oriented team.


Mōu | About you

  • A Master’s qualification in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
  • 7+ years’ experience in senior educational leadership.
  • Proven ability to lead large teams across multiple locations.
  • Expertise in quality assurance, academic performance management, and strategic planning.
  • Strong financial, relationship management and communication skills.
  • As this leadership role will be leading our Te Reo Māori me ōna Tikanga programmes, knowledge and experience in Te Reo Māori and āhuatanga Māori is preferred along with a willingness to support and participate in cultural activities.
