Role: Casual – as and when required
Location: Dunedin
Hourly Rate:
$24.28 per hour
Hours: As required
Days: As required

As a Disability Support Worker, you will:

  • Typing, notetaking, and helping them engage with learning materials and online tasks
  • Coaching them to break down assignments and understand academic requirements
  • Strengthening their skills in independent planning and time management
  • Encouraging meaningful connections with Kaiako (teachers), peers, Tauira Services, and the wider learning environment

 

Mōu | About you

 

We are looking for someone who has the following:

  • A tertiary qualification, preferably with a qualification above the level of tauira you are supporting
  • A relevant Teacher Aide Certificate, desirable
  • Previous Teaching Aide experience preferred
  • Experience in a pastoral role, coaching, mentoring, support, or teaching advantageous but not essential

 

As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
