We have an exciting opportunity for a Puna Manager to manage this purpose built, innovative centre.

About the role:

As Puna Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day running of this Early Childhood Centre.  Leading using a strengths base model, mentoring your team, building close relationships with whānau, leading programme planning and self-review, tamariki enrolments and budget management will all be part of your day.

You will need:

  • Diploma or Degree in Teaching Early Childhood Education
  • Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand Practising Certificate (current and full status)
  • Three to five years’ management in early childhood education
  • Experience teaching in a range of early childhood education environments
  • The ability to manage and lead a diverse team
  • Excellent planning and facilitation skills
  • A sound understanding of āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) with the ability to greet and acknowledge people in te reo Māori and pronounce Māori words correctly
