Te Waananga o Aotearoa is dedicated to providing memorable experiences through a nurturing and caring environment for tamariki and whaanau by offering quality holistic educational opportunities utilising interactive learning. 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager to manage this purpose built, innovative puna.

About the role:

As Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day running of the Early Childhood Puna.  Mentoring your team, building close relationships with whaanau, leading programme planning and internal evaluation, enrolments and budget management will all be part of your day.

You will need:

•  Diploma or Degree in Teaching Early Childhood Education

•  Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand Practising Certificate - full status

•  Three to five years’ management in early childhood education

•  Experience teaching in a range of early childhood education environments

•  The ability to manage and lead a diverse team

•  Excellent planning and facilitation skills

•  A sound understanding of aahuatanga Maaori (values, culture and tikanga) with the ability to greet and acknowledge people in te reo Maaori and pronounce Maaori words correctly
