Mō tēnei mahi | About this job

As an Engineer – IT Service Operations, you’ll provide frontline IT support to kaimahi and tauira across Aotearoa. This role combines Service Desk support with onsite technical support at Te Puna Manaaki (Head Office).

You’ll be a visible IT presence onsite, helping kaimahi directly with technical issues and ensuring our Head Office environment runs smoothly.

You’ll respond to support requests through phone, email, and the support portal while also providing deskside support for kaimahi based at Head Office, assisting with troubleshooting, equipment setup, and system maintenance.

Working as part of the wider IT Service Operations team, you’ll help ensure our technology services remain reliable and responsive while contributing to improvements in our support processes and service delivery.

Mōu | About you

  • Respond to technical support requests across phone, chat, email, and the support portal.
  • Provide deskside technical support for kaimahi at Te Puna Manaaki (Head Office).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Assist with device setup, installations, upgrades, and equipment deployment.
  • Monitor and maintain ICT systems to support stability and performance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of service desk processes and knowledge resources.
  • Build strong relationships and deliver excellent customer service to all users.

What you’ll bring 

  • Diploma in Computing (Level 5) or relevant qualification. 
  • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP). 
  • 2+ years’ experience in an IT support role, including Service Desk or onsite/deskside support.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, hardware, software, and networking. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft/Apple operating systems. 
  • Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills. 
  • A willingness to engage in a kaupapa Māori environment and develop understanding of āhuatanga Māori.
