Kaiako - Certificate in Project Management
Certificate in Project Management – Part-Time Fixed Term Contract (Minimum 25 weeks)
Are you passionate about project management and eager to support aspiring professionals across Aotearoa? Do you have hands-on experience leading projects and want to share your knowledge with those preparing to manage their own initiatives?
Te Wānanga o Aotearoa is committed to tauira success and whānau transformation through education. We are currently seeking a motivated tutor to deliver our Level 4 Certificate in Project Management through a dynamic e-learning / online format.
In addition to delivering the core programme curriculum, you will guide tauira (students) through the development and implementation of a project. Through this process, tauira will build essential skills in all project management phases, from initiation to closing - preparing them to successfully lead projects across diverse contexts.
The ideal applicant will hold relevant tertiary and adult teaching qualifications, alongside practical business and project management experience. Confidence in online teaching is essential.
While an understanding of te reo Māori and tikanga is beneficial, more important is a genuine openness to learning and engaging with these, and the ability to relate respectfully to all cultures within the class. A strong commitment to upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi is essential, and we encourage applicants to actively deepen their understanding of te Tiriti o Waitangi and how it applies in the context of delivering a programme for Te Wānanga o Aotearoa.
Whilst this contract is for an online delivery format, we are interested in finding someone who has the potential to deliver either or both online and face-to-face classes in future, particularly in Auckland. Thus, it is advantageous, but not essential, that the applicant be based in Auckland.
If this position is for you, in your cover letter tell us why you are the right person to help our students put their learning into action. Applicants must be available for an online interview the week of 13 October 2025.
