This Permanent position
is based at our Ōtautahi - Te Mouri campus. Flexibility may be required to
support some evening or weekend delivery for noho or wānanga where applicable.
We are seeking a Kaiako to deliver the Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching (He Puāwai) programme. Teaching includes, but is not limited to:
- Developing lesson plans and high-quality teaching materials
- Delivering engaging lessons to adult learners (tauira)
- Responding to diverse learning needs
- Assessing and evaluating tauira progress
- Maintaining accurate records including assessment results and attendance
- Planning and supporting noho, wānanga and field activities where required
- Recruiting tauira to meet programme targets
Mōu | About you
The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting tauira success,
demonstrate strong communication and cultural capability, and be adaptable in
their delivery approach. You will ideally hold:
- A New Zealand Diploma in Adult & Tertiary Teaching (Level 6), or equivalent
- Unit Standards 4098, 11281, 18203
- 3+ years’ experience teaching or working with adult learners (preferred, but newly qualified kaiako will also be considered)
- Strong digital literacy and familiarity with online learning platforms
- A full NZ driver licence and clear police record
