The role of a Kaiāwhina is to assist Kaiako in delivering our Te Reo Māori programme in a proactive, supportive whānau based environment. This role also assists the Kaiako in preparing resources and classrooms, monitoring student attendance, general administration task and student recruitment.
As part of the whānau we will support you in furthering your career in teaching Te Reo Māori both professionally and academically.
Applicants will hold a Mātauranga Māori qualification and be able to converse in Te Reo Māori and must have a thorough knowledge of Tikanga Māori. At least one years’ experience in a similar role. A full drivers licence is also required.
The ideal applicant will be available to work evenings some days and weekends.
