Permanent-Part-time (15 hours per week)

We are currently recruiting for the 2019 academic year and we invite applications from passionate and energetic individuals to assist in the delivery of our Te Kunenga o te Reoprogramme.
The role of a Kaiāwhina is to assist Kaiako in delivering our Te Kunenga o te Reo programme in a proactive, supportive whānau based environment. This role also assists the Kaiako in preparing resources and classrooms, monitoring student attendance, general administration task and student recruitment. As part of the whānau we will support you in furthering your career in teaching Reo.
Applicants must be able to converse in Te Reo Māori at Level 4 minimum and have a thorough knowledge of Tikanga Māori at Level 4 minimum. At least one year’s experience in a similar role and a Te Reo or Māori studies qualification are essential. The ability to play a guitar and/or lead waiata is desirable. A full driver’s licence is also required. The ideal applicant will be available to work evenings and some weekends.
