Day: Wednesday
As a Kaiāwhina (Tutor Assistant), you will:
- This role will support Secondary-Tertiary programme delivery of a Digital Toi Māori programme delivered during school Terms 1 - 3
- Support the Kaiako (teachers) to manage day-to-day activities in the delivery of the programme from subject knowledge
- Meet with the kaiako to prior to classes to discuss class plans
- Assist kaiako in recording student attendance
About you:
We are looking for someone who has the following:
- An understanding of Toi Māori design, drawing and digital tools and software is essential
- At least one year’s experience in a similar role preferred
- The ability to clearly and appropriately communicate ideas and concepts in written and verbal format
- Prepared to increase knowledge, understanding and everyday use of te reo and āhuatanga Māori and support other kaimahi in the same endeavour
- Full clean New Zealand Drivers Licence
As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
