Mō tēnei mahi (About this job)
The role of a Kaiāwhina is to assist and support the Kaiako in the delivery of our Te Ara Reo Māori programme in a proactive, supportive whānau based environment. This role assists the Kaiako in preparing resources and classrooms, supporting tauira in their learning, programme administration and coordination tasks and tauira recruitment. This is a part-time (15hrs per week) fixed term (until 19 December 2025) position, based at our Kawerau Campus.
Mōu (About you)
The successful candidate will:
- Be able to confidently converse in te reo Māori
- Be able to evidence their experience using or navigating systems that support tauira learning
- Be confident using Microsoft Office Suite
- Have proven administration experience
As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness
to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga
Māori (values, culture and tikanga) will be key.
