Hours: 20.62 hours per week
Tenure: Fixed Term for 2 years
As a Kaihāpai Rangahau, you will:
- Support and contribute to the Marsden-funded research project “Vision Mātauranga: is it past its used-by date?”, including research design, data collection, analysis and reporting
- Assist in the development of publications, reports and presentations for journals, conferences and stakeholders
- Contribute to the development of new research ideas, methods and proposals
- Ensure all research activity is conducted ethically and aligned to kaupapa Māori principles and organisational values
Mōu | About you
We are looking for someone who has the following:
- A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline, with research experience (e.g. social sciences, education, technology or related fields)
- Strong research capability, including qualitative and/or quantitative methods and data analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to contribute to publications and reports
- Strong planning, organisation and relationship‑building skills
- An interest in kaupapa Māori research approaches, science and a willingness to grow capability in te ao Māori
- A proactive, curious mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a research team
As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
