Kaihāpai Rangahau Matua (Senior Associate Research Fellow)


About this role

As our Kaihāpai Rangahau Matua you will provide high level specific subject matter technical expertise to Te Manawahoukura to undertake Rangahau projects. You will need specific experience in Rangahau to do with Māori and the built environment to support a project focused on Māori streets and spatial justice in urban settings.

 

Role details:

Title: Kaihāpai Rangahau Matua (Senior Associate Research Fellow)
Role: Fixed Term, Part time position
Location: Flexible
Hours: 18.75 hours per week
Days: Monday - Friday

As a Kaihāpai Rangahau Matua, you will:

  • Lead research work for publication, from design, data collection, analysis and report writing.
  • Develop research objectives and proposals for own or joint research.
  • Provide analysis of existing literature.
  • Provide reporting and planning advice for the rangahau advisory groups, senior Te Manawahoukura management, rangahau leaders, end-users and partners

 

About you:

We are looking for someone who has the following:

  • A PhD in a related discipline or relevant qualification and/or experience
  • Rangahau/research experience in a relevant discipline
  • Experience in the Tertiary sector either as a kaiako or kairangahau or both
  • Evidence of ability to write in support of publications and research reports

 

As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
