Mō tēnei mahi | About this job

We are seeking a Kaitiaki – Home Based Learning to join our team in Te Kei. You’ll play pivotal role in the delivery of our Home-Based Learning Programmes.

Role: Permanent – Full Time
Location: Christchurch
Hours: 37.5 per week
Days: Monday – Sunday
Salary
: $52,867 - $58,742

 

Your key focus areas will include:

  • Organise and conduct whanaungatanga visits for new cohorts of tauira to ensure strong connection and understanding.
  • Confirm enrolment within set periods, document programme inductions and accurately record all relevant details.
  • Apply best practices in assessment principles and communicate assessment results to tauira.
  • Develop implement and review tailored support strategies for individual tauira, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Track and report on tauira progress.

 

Moū | About you

  • NZQA /unit Standards 4098 – Uses standards to access candidate performance Level 4 or New Zealand Certificate in Assessment Practice Level 4.
  • A certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education Level 5 (NCALNE).
  • Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching Level 4 and Certificate in Tikanga Māori Level 3 or Te Reo Māori Level 1 or higher is desirable.
  • A Full clean New Zealand Drivers’ License.
  • 2-4 years’ experience in education, mentoring, coaching, facilitation, or learning support.
