Kaitiaki – Home Based Learning
About this role
We are seeking a Kaitiaki – Home Based Learning to join our team in Te Kei. You’ll play pivotal role in the delivery of our Home-Based Learning Programmes.
Role details:
As Kaitiaki – Home Based Learning, you will:
- Organise and conduct whanaungatanga visits for new cohorts of tauira to ensure strong connection and understanding.
- Confirm enrolment within set periods, document programme inductions and accurately record all relevant details.
- Apply best practices in assessment principles and communicate assessment results to tauira.
- Develop implement and review tailored support strategies for individual tauira, ensuring their needs are met.
- Track and report on tauira progress.
About you:
We are looking for someone who has the following:
- NZQA /unit Standards 4098 – Uses standards to access candidate performance Level 4 or New Zealand Certificate in Assessment Practice Level 4.
- A certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education Level 5 (NCALNE).
- Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching Level 4 and Certificate in Tikanga Māori Level 3 or Te Reo Māori Level 1 or higher is desirable.
- A Full clean New Zealand Drivers’ License.
- 2-4 years’ experience in education, mentoring, coaching, facilitation, or learning support.
As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
