Mō tēnei mahi (About this job)

Are you an organised, people-focused administrator who thrives in a kaupapa Māori environment? Do you enjoy supporting others to succeed, bringing calm, clarity and quality to busy teams? If this sounds like you, we’d love to kōrero.

We are looking for a Kaiwhakarite Ako, to provide exceptional administrative support to our Whare Reo in the Ako Takiwā team. This role is at the heart of our mahi—helping our kaiako and Takiwā leaders deliver outstanding learning experiences for our tauira.

As our Kaiwhakarite Ako, you’ll be the go-to person who keeps things flowing smoothly. Your days will be varied and meaningful, including:

  • Coordinating hui, preparing agendas, and capturing accurate minutes
  • Supporting academic and delivery planning
  • Managing documentation for Contracted Kaiako
  • Coordinating events across the takiwā and campus
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Keeping processes tidy, timely, and aligned with best practice

You’ll be part of a supportive team that values manaakitanga, professionalism and collaboration.


Mōu (About you)

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Proficient in Te Reo Māori - conversational and written
  • A confident administrator with at least 2 years’ experience
  • Tech-savvy, especially with MS Office and digital tools
  • Detail-focused, organised and great at multitasking
  • Warm and approachable, building strong relationships with ease
  • Committed to growing their Te Reo Māori me ōna tikanga
  • Participates comfortably in cultural activities such as pōwhiri, karakia and waiata

 

Your ability to embrace and live our values — Ngā Uara and Te Kaupapa Matua — is essential.
