Mō tēnei mahi | About this job

We are currently seeking a Kaiwhakarite (Administrator) on a permanent, part-time (24.75 hours per week) basis based in Māngere.

The Kaiwhakarite will provide high quality and comprehensive administrative support and technical assistance to the manager, and Kaitiakitanga - Post Gradate Diploma in Bicultural Professional Supervision programme. You will work with kaiako and kaimahi across the wāhanga to support the delivery of a world class Post Graduate programme.  In particular the role will support the Manager – Kaitiakitanga, who is also based in Māngere.  There will also be an expectation that the role will support other programmes and teams across the wāhanga as needed when workflow requires this.  

Mōu | About you

This position would suit someone who has proficient administrative and coordination skills and has worked in the tertiary education sector. You’ll bring to the role an ability to write and communicate well. You will be a strong relationship builder with a communication style and approach that enables you to establish rapport and credibility quickly.  You might have experience or be interested in building your skills in event management, podcasting, and other forms of dissemination. 

You will bring with you:

  • A diploma in Business Administration or Computing Level 5 (or similar)
  • 5 years’ administration experience at a senior level
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite of applications (ie. Outllook, Teams, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Excellent verbal and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent relationship management skills.

As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) will be key.

Salary Range: $52,867 - $70,490. Remuneration will reflect qualifications, skills and experience for the position.
