Location: Tāmaki Makaurau

Hours: Part-time, 18.75hrs per week

Days: Wednesday – Friday

As Manager of the Bachelor of Social Work Programme, you will be responsible for:

• Leading the delivery, academic quality and continuous improvement of degree and postgraduate programmes, ensuring excellence in teaching and learning outcomes.
• Providing strategic leadership and academic oversight to Kaiako teams, fostering a high-performing, collaborative and values-led culture. 
• Driving programme development, assessment moderation, accreditation activities and compliance with NZQA and quality assurance requirements.
• Championing rangahau-informed teaching practices and building research capability across programme teams. 
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, professional bodies, iwi, hapū and external agencies to support programme quality and relevance. 
• Leading workforce planning, capability development and performance management to support sustainable programme delivery and outstanding tauira outcomes.

Mōu | About you

We are looking for someone who has the following: 

• A Master's or PhD in a relevant discipline, with significant professional or practice-based experience. 
• Proven leadership experience within the tertiary education sector, including academic programme management and quality assurance. 
• Extensive teaching experience and a strong understanding of curriculum design, pedagogy and learner-centred educational practice. 
• Experience leading accreditation, moderation, compliance and continuous improvement activities within a tertiary environment. 
• Strong stakeholder engagement, coaching and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others. 
• A demonstrated commitment to kaupapa Māori, Indigenous education, rangahau and the aspirations of Māori communities.

As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
