At Te Wānanga o Aotearoa, our vision is Whānau transformation through education. We are seeking three experienced Accounts Receivable Officers to join our team on fixed-term contracts through to November 2027, supporting the delivery of a significant Fees Structure Project.

These roles will play an important part in the successful implementation and ongoing administration of changes associated with tauira fees, student accounts, and related financial processes. Working within our Financial Transactions team, you will help ensure financial information is accurate, compliant, and delivered in a way that supports positive outcomes for tauira and kaimahi.

You will be responsible for managing a range of accounts receivable activities, including maintaining debtor records, processing financial transactions, supporting fee-related enquiries, monitoring student debt ledgers, processing refunds and waivers, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external funding requirements.

Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external agencies such as Studylink and MSD, you'll contribute to process improvements, provide high-quality financial administration, and support the successful delivery of project outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing tauira and miscellaneous debtor accounts and accounts receivable activities.
• Processing invoices, credit notes, refunds, waivers, and financial transactions accurately and within required timeframes.
• Maintaining accurate debtor ledgers and supporting debt collection processes.
• Verifying and reconciling data across student management and financial systems.
• Supporting fee structure implementation activities and associated financial processes.
• Preparing financial reports and assisting with month-end activities.
• Providing responsive support to tauira and stakeholders regarding account and fee-related enquiries.
• Ensuring compliance with financial policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and operational efficiency.
• Building strong working relationships across Te Wānanga o Aotearoa and with external partners.

You'll be an organised and detail-focused finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work. You have strong analytical skills, can manage competing priorities, and build positive relationships with a wide range of people.

You will bring:

• Experience in accounts receivable, finance administration, accounting, or a similar role.
• Experience working with financial systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when processing financial information.
• Experience managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a busy environment.
• Confidence communicating with a range of stakeholders and providing excellent customer service.
• An understanding of financial processes, reconciliations, and record keeping.
