Are you a creative and culturally grounded curriculum designer who’s passionate about transforming learning? Do you thrive in an environment where mātauranga Māori and educational excellence come together to uplift communities? If so, we want you on our team.

As a Programme Developer, you’ll play a key role in designing teaching and learning experiences that reflect kaupapa Māori, support diverse learners, and set new standards of innovation across Aotearoa.

 

You will:

  • Lead the design, writing, and redevelopment of programmes, curriculum, assessments, and high‑quality educational resources.
  • Embed kaupapa Māori and mātauranga Māori authentically throughout all learning materials.
  • Collaborate with iwi, hapū, academics, subject matter experts, and communities to ensure cultural integrity and relevance.
  • Craft programme documentation that meets NZQA, NZQF, TEC and internal quality requirements.
  • Contribute to flexible, innovative modes of delivery — face‑to‑face, online, blended, and work‑based learning.
  • Support capability‑building across our organisation and work alongside passionate teams driving excellence in teaching and learning.

 

 

Mōu | About you

We are looking for someone who has:

✔ 3–5+ years’ experience developing tertiary curriculum and assessment
✔ Strong knowledge of NZQA, NZQF and tertiary programme design standards
✔ Excellent written communication and academic writing ability
✔ Commitment to kaupapa Māori, mātauranga Māori, and bicultural practice
✔ Experience working closely with Māori communities and stakeholders
✔ A relevant postgraduate qualification (Level 8+)
✔ A genuine passion for uplifting education and improving outcomes for learners

 

As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) will be key.
