Join Te Wānanga o Aotearoa as our Senior Coordinator within the Strategy & Engagement wāhanga and play a pivotal role in supporting strategic initiatives that contribute to the success of one of Aotearoa's largest tertiary education providers.
Reporting to the Paemanu (Director) Strategy and Engagement, this role is responsible for providing high-quality coordination, administration, and operational support to ensure the effective delivery of strategic priorities, projects, and performance outcomes across the Strategy & Engagement team.
This is a varied and fast-paced position where you will:
- Provide professional coordination and administrative support to the Director and wider Strategy & Engagement wāhanga.
- Coordinate hui, prepare agendas, take minutes, and compile reports and presentations.
- Support the achievement of strategic objectives through effective organisation and prioritisation of multiple workstreams.
- Assist with general office management and day-to-day operational activities.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including tauira, iwi, hapū, whānau, suppliers, contractors, and sector agencies.
- Monitor and track strategic initiatives, project milestones, deliverables, and key actions.
- Ensure information and records are managed in accordance with organisational policies and legislative requirements.
As a key member of the team, you will be trusted to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and contribute to a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

You bring strong administrative expertise, excellent relationship management skills, and a genuine commitment to the values and kaupapa of Te Wānanga o Aotearoa.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Diploma in Business Administration or a related qualification.
- Proven experience in a senior coordination, administration, project support, or similar role.
- Proven experience in facilitating day to day operations, minute taking, report preparation and compilation.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse information, investigate issues, and support informed decision-making.
- Exceptional relationship management skills and the ability to work collaboratively across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Experience supporting strategic initiatives, projects, or organisational improvement activities.
