Title: Specialist

Role: Permanent, full time
Location: Porirua Campus
Hours: 37.5 per week
Days: Monday – Friday
Salary: $81,497 - $106,964
The purpose of the Specialist – National Tauira Services role is to strengthen the Tauira Journey by delivering analytics, quality assurance, and insight‑driven improvement across the Tauira Journey. You’ll strengthen performance, uplift capability, and support effective action‑plan delivery through accurate, integrated, and evidence‑based reporting. In this role, you will:
- Establish data, reporting, and insight needs across the Tauira Journey.
- Deliver system, performance, and trend analysis to support effective operations.
- Coordinate and undertake quality assurance spot checks, audits, and data-driven evaluations across the Tauira Journey.
- Support managers to strengthen kaimahi capability through actionable insights drawn from evidence and analytics.
- Develop tracking systems and work allocation tools to enhance national consistency.
Mōu | About you
We are looking for someone who has the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Education or related fields.
- Diploma in Project Management or related fields.
- 5+ years’ experience in the tertiary education sector.
- 5+ years’ experience designing, developing, and maintaining data systems and reporting solutions.
- 5+ years’ experience analysing, investigating, and interpreting data, issues, and situations.
- Full NZ Drivers Licence (Class 1)
As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
