Days: Monday – Friday
Salary:
$72,490 - $90,613

The Specialist – Quality & Training provides high‑level operational support to National Tauira Services and functional support to Tauira Services teams across the motu. The role strengthens service quality, builds kaimahi capability, and ensures teams are equipped with accurate, up‑to‑date information, resources, and best‑practice tools. In this role, you will:

  • Quality assurance - Coordinate and undertake spot checks and critical audits, analyse findings, and recommend improvements to strengthen tauira services.
  • Service feedback systems - Develop and monitor feedback processes that support kaimahi to deliver high‑quality, best‑practice services.
  • Performance reporting - Produce reports on quality, performance and operational trends.
  • Training and capability - Work with takiwā leadership to train Tauira Services Advisors.  Produce and maintain a national training calendar and ensure quality resources are provided to support this plain.
  • Digital proficiency support - Support kaimahi to confidently use online platforms and digital tools that enhance service consistency and effectiveness.
  • Relationship leadership - Lead strong internal relationships and collaborate with external stakeholders to develop tools that enhance tauira success, while upholding Ngā Uara, modelling integrity, and complying with health, safety, and wellness procedures.

 

Mōu | About you

We are looking for someone who has the following:

  • Bachelor Degree in Quality Assurance/Management or similar field
  • Certificate in Adult Teaching or related qualification
  • 4+ years’ experience in quality assurance or audit roles
  • 4+ years’ experience in training or teaching roles
  • 4+ years’ experience creating training gap analysis, content and delivery
  • Proven experience working and supporting diverse client groups
  • Strong data analysis, reporting, planning, facilitation, and relationship‑management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
