The Product Owner is responsible for translating the Product Managers’ strategies to tasks for development, managing and prioritising the product backlog, organising sprints, understanding the market and customer needs, and answering questions from developers as needed.
- Translate product strategy into actionable development tasks
- Own and prioritise the product backlog to deliver maximum value
- Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and designers to shape user-centric solutions
- Lead agile ceremonies and ensure sprint goals are met
- Validate completed work and continuously evolve the product based on feedback and market trends
- Champion the voice of the user and align product outcomes with organisational goals

Are you a visionary with a knack for turning strategy into action? Do you thrive at the intersection of customer needs, business goals, and agile development?
- 4+ years in product ownership or related roles
- Strong experience with Agile methodologies and product lifecycle management
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Certified in Agile frameworks
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- A passion for innovation, empathy for users, and a drive to deliver results
- Understanding of te ao Māori and commitment to Te Wānanga o Aotearoa values
As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
