Mō tēnei mahi | About this job

As a Regional Security Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the safety of our tauira (students), kaimahi (staff), and visitors. You’ll be responsible for:

• Coordinating and maintaining physical and electronic security systems
• Conducting audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
• Managing access control systems and alarm monitoring
• Supporting emergency response and special event security operations
• Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external contractors
• Promoting a culture of safety and wellbeing across your region

Mōu | About you

• A Diploma in Security and a clear Police record
• A Certificate of Approval (COA) or the ability to obtain one
• A full driver’s licence
• At least 2 years of experience in a security-related role
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills
• A basic understanding of te reo Māori, tikanga, and āhuatanga Māori
