Mō tēnei mahi | About this job
As a Regional Security Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the safety of our tauira (students), kaimahi (staff), and visitors. You’ll be responsible for:
- Coordinating and maintaining physical and electronic security systems
- Conducting audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
- Managing access control systems and alarm monitoring
- Supporting emergency response and special event security operations
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external contractors
- Promoting a culture of safety and wellbeing across your region
Mōu | About you
- A Diploma in Security and a clear Police record
- A Certificate of Approval (COA) or the ability to obtain one
- A full driver’s licence
- At least 2 years of experience in a security-related role
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills
- A basic understanding of te reo Māori, tikanga, and āhuatanga Māori
